Today, Kakao announced that BTS has confirmed their appearance at the MMA, an award ceremony conducted by the music platform Melon, which will be held from December 2 to 5. The MMA, which began in 2005, is a music awards ceremony that selects winners by reflecting data collected through Melon, fan votes, and expertsŌĆÖ evaluations. Although the event was held online and offline until last year, this yearŌĆÖs ceremony will only be held online this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At last yearŌĆÖs awards ceremony, BTS won a total of eight awards, sweeping all four Grand prizes (Artist of the Year Award, Album of the Year Award, Song of the Year Award, Record of the Year Award). Though the groupŌĆÖs performance drew keen attention every year, their ŌĆ£IDOLŌĆØ performance in 2018 certainly made headlines. Meanwhile, BTS is gearing up for their comeback with a new album BE on November 20.
